2016 Shuhari Cup
The Shuhari Cup is our inaugural tournament featuring athletes from the US, Canada, and more. It is an excellent competition alternative for traditional karateka seeking high level competitors, experienced judges, and no affiliation requirements. Open to traditional karateka of all ages, ranks, and affiliations.
The event includes both Youth and Adult Tournaments for all ranks and a Judge’s Seminar hosted by experienced international athletes and judges. We will be using traditional karate rules based on the ITKF rulebook.
Events: Kata | Team Kata | Enbu | Kumite
Awards to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Certificates for all participants.

• 8am – Noon | Youth Tournament

• Adult Athletes: $55 (unlimited indiv events)
• Youth Athletes: $45 (unlimited indiv events)
• Team Events: add $10 per athlete
• Judging Seminar $20

This hotel is immediately adjacent to the airport and Mall of America and just 5 Minutes by car from the Seminar Location. It is also located on a Light Rail stop that can take you to the Mall of America, Airport, and Downtown Minneapolis.
Please note that the Tournament is just minutes North of the airport and “hotel alley.” Also, we do not have any tournament-related events planned at a hotel, so it’s not imperative that you book at anywhere specific. You may find better rates just shopping online for any of the MANY hotels available in this area. Any hotel in Bloomington, MN will be close to the event location.

April is spring in the Twin Cities and it’s a wonderful time to visit. The weather varies greatly, but expect reasonable temperatures ranging from 50°F to 63°F (10° to 17º C). Snow is possible, but unlikely. Bring a light jacket.
